Welcome to my blog – my retirement blog, if you will. I have initially decided that this would be a good location for me to do continued writing, which I have always loved to do – both personally and while in business. What I don’t want to do is to just make this an extension of an annual holiday letter. While extensive information about our family, and the trips that we occasionally take may have some interest to a few people, I doubt seriously that type of information alone would motivate someone to subscribe to this blog.
Whereas, if I include some topics such as movie, book, television and music reviews, my favorite recipes, tips about making travel arrangements, personal recommendations about things to do or to see when visiting various locations around the world (including pictures, of course), etc., those will hopefully be things that have a wider appeal. It may also motivate some of you to subscribe to, and to then look forward to receiving periodic updates and new additions.
So here goes. It is April of 2017. Although I grew up and spent the first 62+ years of my life primarily in Wisconsin, my new home base is now in New Mexico and my subscriber list at present only includes yours truly.
I am only just getting started with this so please forgive the initial lack of content. Once I begin to add things, I will reference them in either in the menu at the top or in this sidebar on the left. If a section item is listed, but does not contain any detail, it is on my “to do list”. Please subscribe to receive blog updates to be notified as soon as new items are published.
Once again, thank you for visiting my site. I hope that you will find something of interest here in the near future. Please let me know if you do and I will always welcome suggestions on how to improve this site.
I now begin to document this new phase of my life.
