Here Is what I would like to see and hear during Judge Chutkan’s directive to Donald Trump tomorrow (Fri, 8/11/23) morning.

Defendant Trump. May I remind you sir that you are currently under Federal criminal indictment and that you are currently on your own recognizance while on bail … at the discretion of this court.

Depending upon your words and/or your actions, that bail can and will be revoked at any point going forward.

You are hereby admonished that, once provided the pre-trial discovery information by the special counsel, to only speak of that information in the presence of your retained counsel, and to at no time have personal possession of either written, electronic and/or printed copy of same.

That information may under no circumstances be spoken of or written about for public consumption by either you OR by any of your representatives..

Any mention by you or by your representatives, to the name of, or by inference to, individuals named in these documents, will be considered a breach, by you personally, of the conditions of your bail.

In addition, you and your representatives may not do or say anything that may threaten the safety of members of the district court of the District of Columbia, the justice department, the seated jury, security and administrative staff, and members of law enforcement,

What I have told you today is no different whatsoever than what I would tell any other defendant currently under Federal, felony indictment and who is currently released on bail. You are being treated no better and no worse than any other American citizen would be by our Federal Judicial System.

This court directive has no effect whatsoever on your First Amendment right to free speech. I repeat, it has NO effect on your right to free speech. However, that right to free speech does NOT extend to information contained in the pre-trial discovery information.

Under penalty of law sir, do you acknowledge what I have said and do you unequivocally agree to these terms?
